As with much of this site, including the hidden behind-the-scenesy-bits, this page mostly exists as a place to point people to in order to contain information, pictures, and links that I tend to mention and therefore want to point people to. There are clickable pictures, if you're interested..
Cat 0 - ebony
Cat 0's official name is ebony. She's a shorthaired british standard issue moggy, and when we got her was having problems with her weight as a result of being picked on by other cats!
After she joined us, she was quite unpredictable, but despite the odd laceration here or there, she's actually really quite lovely when you get to know her. This could also serve as a description for certain operating systems for newcomers, which tenuously makes her a geek cat!
Cat 1 - mitou
Cat 1's official name is mitou, which we believe is persian for miaow. Mitou is particularly un-feline, as he appears to lack the necessary evolutionary skills to do such cat-like things as hunting, pouncing, and generally fending for himself.
Fortunately, Mitou is most excellent at cuddling, covering things in fluff, and generally being a house-cat, which is fortunate since that's what he is. We think that mitou is a turkish van. We find it hard to believe that a family didn't want him!
Cat 2 - cinak
Cat 2's official name is cinak. Cinak stands for Cinac is not a kitten. Cinac stands for Cinak is nice and cuddly.
This makes cinak possibly the first cat to have a doubly-recursive name. The pronounciation of Cinak, for double points, is SYN ACK. Definitely a geek cat. Cinak is the first cat we've had since he was a kitten - he's now somewhat larger than in the picture(!).
